Caring -
Stephen Ministry
|
|
Stephen Ministers offer caring Christian friendship and concerned listening to people when they need it most. Stephen Ministry is lay caring ministry. Stephen Ministers are not counselors or therapists; rather, they are caring Christian friends who can offer a listening ear to help others through the tough times of life.
On April 26th, our ninth class of Stephen Ministers was commissioned. We celebrate our new members who have devoted many hours to study and prayer and are ready to serve our Lord, our congregation and our community.

OUR PETITION: Let us pray that the Holy Spirit will move each of us to be sensitive to the needs around us at church, home, work and elsewhere, responding with a caring, listening ear. May the Holy Spirit move people to be open to receiving care from others, recognizing that God intended us not only to love and care for others but also to be loved and cared for by others. We rejoice today that God is working through our congregation in giving comfort, compassion and love.
